How to import a Minecraft skin
Choose PNG or a Bedrock skin pack for your device.
Start with a 64×64 PNG and confirm whether its arms are Classic (four pixels wide) or Slim (three). Download the original file, rather than a preview screenshot.
Java Edition uses the skin selection screen in the launcher or your Minecraft profile. Bedrock on supported desktop and mobile clients uses the Dressing Room and Import option, or a skin pack opened by the client. Menu labels vary by release. Console editions do not generally offer the same arbitrary file import path.
After importing, inspect both arms, the back and the top of the head. Keep the source PNG so you can correct pixels. These instructions are a reference checklist; this application has not yet completed its device import test matrix.
