Install a Minecraft skin on Android
Install a Bedrock skin from a PNG or mcpack on Android.
Verification status: reference checklist. No claim of completed game-client import tests.
Download the original PNG or skin pack to your device.
The exact file manager and menu names vary by Android and Bedrock version. This checklist has not been tested on every device.
The linked Android video demonstrates PNG selection on Bedrock 26.13; later releases may differ. The .mcpack instructions are based on the linked reference guide and have not been device-tested by MCSkinGen.
Step by step
Find the downloaded file

Open your file manager and locate the downloaded PNG or .mcpack.
Open the pack or import the PNG

For a .mcpack, use Open with and choose Minecraft if available. For a PNG, open the Dressing Room, select Classic Skins and the owned skin import option, then Choose New Skin and select the PNG from the photo picker or files.
Select the arm model

Choose Classic or Slim to match the PNG and equip the skin.
Verify in a world

Inspect the skin in a world. If the file manager cannot open the pack, try another file manager or import the PNG instead.

Why will my mcpack not open?
Try a file manager that offers Open with Minecraft, check the extension and package contents, or use the PNG import path.
Where is the import button?
Look in the owned classic skins section of the Dressing Room; labels vary by release.
Can I use a screenshot?
Use the original skin texture PNG rather than a rendered avatar screenshot.
Why does the skin disappear?
