Import a PNG or skin pack into Minecraft Bedrock on Windows.
Save the original skin file and check that it matches your Classic or Slim model.
This reference checklist applies to Bedrock on Windows; menu labels vary by release. Keep a backup of your original file.
For a .mcpack, double-click the downloaded file and allow Minecraft to open it. Wait for the import notification.
In Minecraft open the Dressing Room, open the menu at the top left and choose Classic Skins. Under Owned Skins select the blank model and Choose New Skin, then select the PNG.
Select Classic or Slim to match the texture, then save or equip the skin.
Enter a world and inspect the arms, back and head. If import fails, follow the import troubleshooting guide.
These steps are for Bedrock, not Java Edition.
Open the file with Minecraft using the system file association, or use a PNG through the Dressing Room.
Choose the model matching the skin texture; Classic and Slim use different arm layouts.
Look for owned classic skins in the Dressing Room. Availability and labels vary by release and platform.
Xbox Support says custom skins do not sync between devices; keep the original PNG accessible so you can import it on each supported device.
